Altilium Metals is supported through by Automotive Transformation Fund (ATF) to prove and enhance the case for scale up of its electric vehicle battery recycling technology to reclaim scarce technology metals such as lithium, nickel, cobalt at a quality for re-use in cell manufacture.
This feasibility study will accelerate and support the investment decision regarding developing a new UK greenfield site capable of processing 10,000 MT of end-of-life lithium-ion electric vehicle batteries, gigafactory scrap and electronic waste, enabling 4750 MT of critical cathode metals to be recovered and supplied back into the EV battery industry. The study commences August 1st 2022 and will be completed in 6 months.
